June 4, 2020

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we have taken the time to carefully assess the COVID-19 situation as it pertains to our Summer Program. The safety of our children and staff is paramount in the creation and execution of all of our summer classes and camps. A tremendous amount of time, thought and resources goes into the many details necessary for the program to operate safely.

Unfortunately, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the remaining six weeks of our Summer Program, from July 13 through August 21.

I apologize for any hardship resulting from the cancellation. Please know that this decision was one we sincerely hoped to be able to avoid, but we are confident that this is the right approach for the health and security of the children and staff as well as the entire Evergreen community.

We will now work to process refunds to registered families.

Please know that I and all of us here at Evergreen are truly sorry that we will not be spending summer with your family this year. I hope you'll join us next summer.

All my best,

Danielle Ladd
Director of Special Programs
Our Summer Program emphasizes embracing our natural environment; nurturing the creative problem solving, curiosity and thinking skills of our young students; fostering their artistic and imaginative abilities; and providing plenty of opportunities for healthy recreation and socializing. Our class sizes remain small, offering students plenty of personal attention to enhance their learning and overall experience.

Choose from over 200 offerings, including a wide variety of enrichment classes, an all-day camp option each week, and dedicated preschool and preK classes.

Welcome from the Director of Special Programs

The Evergreen School is celebrating another big summer filled with fun and excitement!

For nearly 30 years I have directed The Evergreen School’s Summer Program.
I have so many wonderful summertime memories of working with the children. These include berry picking, playing water tag, making tie-dyed shirts, and building scarecrows.

My Summer Program memories are filled with watching the most incredible theater performances, seeing some spectacular creations of art, observing inspiring math and science workshops, and hearing all about the eagles spotted while on the hiking trip. I feel the excitement through the children. Thank you for sharing your children with us to create such lovely, heartfelt memories. I look forward to seeing your family again this summer.

Sincerely,

Danielle Ladd
