Frequently Asked Questions

List of 9 frequently asked questions.

  • Can my child sign up even if s/he does not attend The Evergreen School?

Absolutely! The Summer Program is open to the community.
  • What's the difference between "classes" and "day camp"?

In addition to a variety of summer enrichment classes, Evergreen also offers a classic day camp option for elementary-age students (K-5). Day camp is from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and there's a different fun theme each week.
  • Do you offer extended care?

Usually we do, but this year, due to the pandemic and health/safety guidelines, we don't know yet if we can offer extended care. At this time, we are not offering it, because we will be keeping students in class cohorts.
  • Is there a waitlist? The class my child wants is full.

Yes! We encourage you to join the waitlist for any class. Simply sign up through our registration system. Spots may become available, or occasionally, we can even open a second week of a class if demand is high.
  • Are all classes and camps one week long?

Yes. (Our summer musical theater classes are the exception. Some of those are two weeks long, but they are not being offered in 2021.)

  • Where do I drop off and pick up my child?

All classes and camps begin and end the day at The Evergreen School. Drop off your child in the main parking lot on Meridian Ave N. at 15201 Meridian Avenue  N., Shoreline, WA 98133.

More specific details to follow for Summer Program 2021.
  • How much does a class or day camp cost?

Class and camp costs vary, based on hours and other considerations (travel for field trips, materials needed, etc.). Please see individual class descriptions for specific costs.
  • What are the times for classes and camps?

Classes: Times are specified in each individual class description. For Summer Program 2021, class times are 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., or 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please note the exact times in the individual class descriptions.

Day Camp: Day camp is from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Preschool/Prekindergarten: Preschool classes are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (For preschool only, extended care is available until 4:00 p.m.) Prekindergarten is from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • What is your cancellation/refund policy? Can I transfer from one class or camp to another?

    Refund and Transfer Policy:

There are no refunds, except in the unusual case that The Evergreen School cancels a class/camp (due to a cause such as lack of enrollment).

Transfers are possible. You may request a transfer into a different week of the Evergreen Summer Program (class or camp), space permitting. The request should be made at least two business days before the class or camp begins. To inquire about space availability/transferring, please email the Summer Program at summerprogram@evergreenschool.org. (No refunds will be given on transfers, and any balances must be paid in full at the time of the transfer.)

Please read the full policy for 2021 regarding cancellations and refunds here, covering information related to COVID-19 as well.
