They can discover how the golden ratio naturally occurs in patterns like shells, leaves and ferns, and then draw their details to see how magical it really is! The children will learn how to use a viewfinder, collect materials for use, arrange materials like artist Andy Goldsworthy, and much more. This class is good for both beginning and more advanced art students. Children will be supported and encouraged at their individual skill levels.

Vision Boards
Instructor: Stasia Smith
Grades: Rising 4th to Rising 6th
9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Elizabeth Rider describes, “A vision board is a collage of images, pictures, and affirmations of one's dreams and desires, designed to serve as a source of inspiration and motivation, and to use the law of attraction to attain goals.” In this fun, creative and insightful class, students will spend time learning more about themselves by reflecting on who they are, what they are passionate about, how they relate to others, and how they can achieve future goals. The week will include learning about goal-setting and growing our mindset, journaling, cutting and pasting, creating an action plan, learning how to create a self-portrait and creating a vision board. Plenty of recess and snack breaks are worked into this relaxing and artistic week.
