2-in-1 Summer Fun: Basketball Skills and Playground Games Camp
Coaches: Jasmin Montiel, Kyle Buonto and Dancho Georgiev
Grades: Rising Kindergarten and Rising 1st
Grades: Rising 2nd to Rising 4th
9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Basketball Skills: This is a great opportunity for children to learn the fundamentals of basketball. Over the course of the week, they'll work on lots of skill building and play friendly games with just the right amount of healthy competition. This is the perfect camp for beginning to intermediate-level basketball players.
Playground Games Camp: Playground games are physically and mentally challenging and support social skills and conflict resolution. These games are also excellent in supporting healthy growth of endurance and dexterity. We’ll be introducing new games as well as playing some of our old-time favorites. Most of the games are cooperative in nature, but there may be a few where light competition is encouraged.

2-in-1 Summer Fun: Jewelry Making and Knitting & Crochet
Instructors of Chelsea Cook’s Little Hands Creations
Grades: Rising 2nd to Rising 6th
9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Jewelry Making: Take your accessory game to the next level with our jewelry design class. Students will start with simple projects like clay beads and macramé, then move on to more complex techniques with wire wrapping, chain and leather work, beading and weaving. Students will be creating layered necklaces, chandelier earrings, gemstone rings, and more. Supplies include organic and re-purposed materials, fun gemstones, studs, and rhinestones.
Knitting & Crochet: Learn the art of knitting and crochet. Knitting is calming, relaxing, and keeps us centered because of its repetitive rhythmic movements. Beginners will start slowly with finger knitting, before moving on to knitting needles and our handy Knifty Knitter Looms. Projects include bookmarks, stuffed animals, hats, headbands, pouches and more!

Fairytastic Fun!
Instructor: Stasia Smith
Grades: Rising 1st to Rising 3rd
9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
This week is all about the enchanted world of fairies and nature. We will spend it exploring, creating fairy art and crafts, and sharing stories about fairies. A fairy walk will inspire us to create our fairy home and garden, then a magical fairy wand, and so much more. Most creations will go home at the end of the week.

Ocean Explorers – Creative Drama
Instructor: Faith Howes
Grades: Rising Kindergarten to Rising 1st
9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Students will become scuba divers, swimming along the Great Barrier Reef. We will turn the classroom into a beautiful coral reef with many creatures swimming around. The scuba adventure will include studying animals like the whale shark, parrot fish, octopus, and reef shark. This is a creative drama class where each day is filled with stories, arts and crafts, imaginative oceanic play. Relaxing recesses and snack breaks are included each day. On the final day, students will act out a story for their summer program friends.

Philosophy: No Question Too Small to Be Big
Instructor: Bryan Carr
Grades: Rising 5th to Rising 7th
9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Philosophy is both the foundation and the peak of education, and young people are naturals at it if given the chance. In this introduction to philosophy class, we will start with stories, games and movie and video clips, as well as food, and then move on together to rediscover the biggest, most perplexing issues of all. Rather than be told answers, students will generate questions, by thinking together about science, ethics, art, and more. We will discover that thought is a great deal of fun, while developing critical thinking and listening carefully to each other. Because there is no end to puzzlement or to understanding, this class is never the same twice, and so is appropriate for both first-time and returning students. Dialogue is guided by the instructor.
  • 2-in-1 SUMMER FUN classes are a package deal. Students will automatically be registered for both, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.
  • Once you click REGISTER HERE (above), you will be able to see whether individual classes have space or are full/waitlist-only.
